Laminin

I may be a little late on discovering this video... but good ole DG introduced me just moments ago. I am simply blown away. All I can say is WOW! Our God is an awesome God. I love science the more and more I study it, because I get to see God so present in it. That may sound strange, but this video will probably help support my case. Enjoy!

In what other areas do you see God present? What are some God stops you've experienced? Please share!!

I've experienced God through poetry before. Really I just love words. I love the rhythm of good phrases, the cadence, a good word choice. I get excited when I read T.S. Eliot talk about his conversion in "Ash Wednesday" or Dostoevsky explain the all-surpassing kindness of Christ through a whore.

I've experienced him through music. I remember where I was and what I was doing the first time I really heard "Moonlight Sonata." I thought it was miraculous. I even wrote it down.

Mostly, I experience God through people. As much as I hate people sometimes, sometimes, I witness miracles. Not water to wine miracles, but the kind that happen everyday - the ones we usually miss. When someone does something self-sacrificial and loving and you get little glimpses of God, it makes me want to cry. I can't help but be moved when I see the Incarnation with my own eyes. It makes me lament all those moments I wasn't conscious of it, all the miracles I missed. It's enough to make me forget this horrible world. I spend most my life in that day in between the Crucifixion and the Resurrection, but sometimes, I experience that joy of Easter Sunday.

marie evans!! :) bahh THIS is why I am a biology major!! Sitting through my biology lectures is experiencing God's creation! Before I watched this video, and I read your post, I immediately thought of the structures of our body at a cellular level, and how much meticulous detail is involved. THAT is evidence enough for me to know that we are not randomly created, we have a Creator and His work is marvelous. While so many people focus on the similarities between humans and other animals, and suggest that these similarities support a common ancestry, I don't exactly see it that way. In my mind, I always think of an artist. Is it not common for an artist to have a 'style' or a similarity between their works of art? I just always see the commonality between gene sequences and cell structures between organisms as a signature of God's creation, or artwork so to speak. It is so humbling to see how we are made, along with other organisms, and see that a Common Creator is evident! Girl, I could go on and on...ha, this is one of my passions!! :) heck, you know that!

Oh, ha, and as if this post was not nerdy enough, I am going to leave you with a video. My biology teacher sent us a video last year, and its an animation of cell functions. When I watched it I about peed myself ha. You will probably think its lame, but I thought I'd share it anyways. Yes, its nerdy....but there is something about seeing a motor protein resembling a walking human that excites me! :) Man, God is awesome!

Anyways...we should talk nerdy science sometimes...not many people share in the fascination! :)
